NBA All-Stars 2013

List of All-Stars - NBA.com

ESPN has a table in this article which shows how many times each player has been selected on the All-Star team.

Excepting the popularity of some of these players, it's amazing to consider these -

1. This is Kobe's 15th selection. That's 15 years he's been playing at an All-Star level.

2. This is LeBron's 9th selection. Assuming he takes care of himself, he should be playing at an All-Star level for the next 5 to 6 years at least. And if he stays in Miami with Wade and Bosh, the NBA title is his to lose for the next half decade.

3. Tim Duncan is averaging 18 points, 10 rebounds, and almost 3 blocks a game. At age 36.

4. Kyrie Irving is 20 years old. The list of players who were All-Stars before age 21 is a short and distinguished one - Magic, Isaiah, Kobe, Shaq, LeBron, Kevin. That's it. The fact that ALL of these players are known by a single name tells you everything.

5. This is Tyson Chandler's 1st selection? He's been great for the last 3, 4 years, minimum. For contrast, this is David Lee's 2nd selection. Who'd you pick first in a playground do-or-die match?

6. Dwight Howard doesn't deserve to be an All-Star this year. No way.

Have you seen that Kyrie video where he dresses up as an old man and shake-and-bakes some young fellas playing pick-up ball?

Oh yes. That was a long time ago, no? He's a very good player, but stuck on a very bad team. Is he on Adidas's list?
